Where are the records for W.H. Baker shotguns and the early L.C. Smith shotguns made in Syracuse?

Unfortunately, records for hammer and hammerless W.H. Baker and the early L.C. Smith shotguns made in Syracuse, NY have been lost. Members of the L.C. Smith Collectors Association are collecting information about these early shotguns in an effort to reconstruct the changes through the early years. If you have a W.H. Baker or early L.C. Smith gun please help with this project.

Visit the data collection page for more information. We have two members working with this data. Daryl Hallquist is working on the Baker guns and J.David Williamson is working on the early L.C.Smith guns manufactured in Syracuse before the Hunter Arms Co. moved the factory to Fulton.
